| MogileFS Maintenance |

Hey LJers,
I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

I need everyone to go watch these Legend of the Seeker promotional videos immediately. They are essentially dating adverts for Richard, Kahlan, Cara, and Darken Rahl, and they are amazingly earnest and hilarious. And if it wasn't established before (as if it weren't, what with the implication of keeping Cordelia Chase as a pleasure slave), I guess Cara's bisexuality is canon now?
Kahlan's made me *heart* her so severely. The music is so "Call 1-800-CONFESS now for available area singles!"

Apparently when you can't sleep, it makes sense to stay up and photoshop (quite badly) Blake Lively onto a unicorn. IDK.
I don't remember where I got the idea; probably pirateygoodness or jengrrrl or one of the deviants at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) bleighton_squee talking about the joy of Blake rescuing maidens astride her unicorn.
Also, there are people out there who are aware of Chloe/Elena from Uncharted 2, and that makes me unbearably happy. Chloe/Elena/Nate is the Cara/Kahlan/Richard of the PS3. Also, Chloe's pretty badass, and I might have a giant crush on her, 30% of which is Claudia Black's voicework.
I know you can't see her face, but she's basically Claudia Black in some sexy as hell adventuring boots, with a leather shoulder holster and some tight pants. If Uncharted 2 ever gets the movie adaptation treatment...rowr. Also, one of my favorite things now is switching to either the Chloe or Elena bonus skin so that game basically becomes the adventures of Chloe and Elena. Although Nate's voice still comes out of the skin. I can deal with that. |
